How We Got Started

We have been in business since 1994 under the name of Ichiyo Art Center, Inc. in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, Georgia.  We pride ourselves on providing customers with the best-quality art supplies of Japanese and other Asian cultures.  In 2006 the company name was changed to Washi Accents & Art Supplies Inc. This new company is an e-commerce specialist, although on the other hand, we loved to service customers by participating in various shows and conventions.  Also, we are running Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) classes with the cooperation of Ichiyo School of Ikebana Atlanta Chapter.

At the End of 2016

We are so saddened to announce that our Yuzen Paper department has been closed, although some other Washi art papers will still be sold.  Also, we have decided no more sales of rubber stamps and stencils (except Japanese stencils). It has been a pleasure receiving so much patronage from our customers, and generous support from the community, not only of Atlanta, but also throughout the U.S.A. for more than twenty-two years.  We have been so lucky, and it is our honor to be able to serve so long between two different cultures through supplying art materials.

Sincerely,

Washi Accents
